I can see the fade marks of the previous menu on the display

If you are seeing the fade marks of the previous menu on display, this could represent that battery is running low and needs replacement. However, this could also be representing that the control panel needs a refresh. You can just press and hold the selector/dialer for few seconds and this should fix your issue.
