Dedicated Electronic Constant Zone
OVERVIEW
Dedicated Electronic Constant Zone
This option involves installing an additional zone that serves an unoccupied area such as a stairwell, hallway, or entryway. The zone remains closed during normal operation and only opens when the system requires additional airflow to maintain minimum coil conditions.
With an iZone system, multiple zones can be designated as dedicated electronic constants, providing flexibility in system design.
Benefits:
All habitable areas can retain full individual temperature control.
When the dedicated constant zone activates, it does not impact occupant comfort in living or working spaces.
Considerations:
Mild discomfort may be experienced when passing through the stairwell or hallway while the constant zone is operating.
Some air noise may be noticeable from the outlet in this area during activation.
This approach offers a balance between comfort, efficiency, and system protection, particularly in homes or buildings where maintaining comfort in key living areas is a priority.
