Reed switch is not working

If the status of the garage door isn't updating when it opens or closes, it indicates a communication issue between the reed switch and the iZone hub.

Here are a few things to check:

  1. Battery Check: In most cases, the issue is due to a dead battery in the reed switch. Please inspect the battery and replace it if necessary.

  2. Distance Issue: The problem could also be caused by the distance between the reed switch and the iZone hub. If the distance is too great, the signal may not be reaching the hub.

    • To resolve this, you can either install a signal repeater to boost the connection or move the iZone hub closer to the reed switch.

These steps should help restore proper communication and ensure the garage door status updates correctly.
