My zone damper is not opening/closing?

This could be either caused by hardware failure (e.g. zone damper motor failure, cable failure) or an incorrect software configuration setting.

  1. The first step is to reset you your system.  This will cause all damper motors to go through a cycle of opening and closing fully.  The system will reinitialise itself and often resolve the zone damper fault.  The reset button can be found on the underside of your wall controller screen.  The system will reset when you press this button.

  2. Make sure that the minimum/maximum airflow percentages on each zone have been set up correctly.  The minimum airflow should be set to 0% for the zone to close fully.  The maximum airflow should be set to 100% for the zone to open fully

  3. Check that the zone names correspond with the actual zone - Zone names can get mixed up and what it reads as on the main screen could be different to where the air is coming out. Make sure you check all the zones one by one to make sure what the zone is named on the screen is where the actual zone is opening.

  4. Check that the damper cable is plugged in properly and is clean from any debris or dirt.  Note that only qualified personal should be allowed in the roof space.
