I am unable to use the App Since I Upgraded the router.

In some cases, the App shows no iZone device found when you change your WiFi router. There could be compatibility issues as some of the routers have minor compatibility issues with our COCB Wifi Bridge.

In This scenario, you can try a few things in order to rectify the issue.

Check if your router falls into the compatibility list HERE. If your router is one of the routers listed in the link then you might need to contact your ISP to seek support regarding it.

However, Some of the modern routers can also cause communication problems due to various reasons.

2.4 and 5Ghz bandwidth signals:

Some routers have been able to overcome this problem and now allow a single device to act as both a switch and a router. And now there are also some options to enable band steering in the routers that let you use the same network name for both frequencies, and your laptop, phone, and other devices will intelligently pick the best frequency they can. sometimes if you use the same name for both of the frequencies from your router that can resolve your issue. But that is not the case every time as it varies from router to router.

2.4 Band Steering enabled:

In some of the modern Wi-Fi routers, you have band steering enabled and that lets your router to send 2.4 and 5Hz frequencies using the same WiFi name and our Wifi Bridge finds issues communicating through that. In this case, you can try to disable the band steering and that will let you use the 2.4 and 5Ghz separately. then you should be able to use the iZone devices under the Wifi by connecting to 2.4Hz wifi name.

Get a 2.4Hz wifi router and connect it to your existing one:

If you do not have the option to change the frequencies in your wifi router, there is a workaround that can be tried in order to rectify your issue.

You can try to purchase a used or cheap wifi router from marketplaces online and plug that into your existing wifi router WAN port and then plug our Wifi Bridge into the new router. This should give our bridge internet access and will let you use the worldwide account. However, in order to use the iZone devices under the wifi connection in this scenario, you will be required to connect your mobile to the new wifi router as the bridge will be connected to a new router.
