How to Update Nova / Nova Mini Firmware
Our software development team periodically releases firmware updates for the Nova and Nova Mini controllers. To check for available updates, please follow the steps below:
Internet Connection: The Nova/Nova Mini controller MUST be connected to the internet to update the firmware. If there’s no Wi-Fi available at home, you can use your mobile or tablet as a hotspot, provided Cellular Data is available.
Accessing the Config Page:
Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to access the CONFIG icon, then tap on it.
Checking for Updates:
In the Nova config page, tap the iZone option at the top.
Then, select iZone Nova / iZone Nova Mini.
Updating the Firmware:
If your Nova version is outdated, tap CHECK FOR UPDATE. Nova will begin downloading the latest firmware, which can take up to 10 minutes (7 minutes for download and 3 minutes for installation).
After the update, Nova should automatically restart to apply the new firmware. If it doesn’t, manually reboot by pressing and holding the power button on the side of the panel and selecting RESTART.
